Description

Number Train is designed to follow the Montessori approach to learning numbers and to adhere to worldwide educational standards including US Common Core State Standards and the UK Early Learning Foundation Stage Principles. All the mini-games are designed to be played intuitively with tactile interactions and end-to-end gameplay. Play is designed to require minimum involvement from teachers or parents while encouraging your child to engage in learning activities and think logically for themselves. PLAY IN 7 LANGUAGES! Number Train is playable in English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Catalan, and Russian with more languages coming soon! Teach your child a second language or allow them access to new languages to aid their linguistic development. Children who have been exposed to a second language learn faster and easier, and have improved problem solving skills and creativity. They find it easier to connect with other cultures which makes them more open-minded and tolerant of diversity. GAMEPLAY: INTRODUCTION TO NUMBERS Each number is introduced using compelling 3D scenes involving an animated fun object, animal or insect. Your child is encouraged to interact with the scene to receive counting audio and visual feedback, helping them understand how the number looks, sounds and the quantity associated. WRITING Using fingers to paint digitally on the screen, the outline of numbers are used to teach your child the shape of each number. As they draw they are shown the direction, and feedback is collected to show them how successfully they drew within the lines at the end of the task. QUANTITY A simple interactive box and ball game teaches the visual quantity associated with each number. This gets progressively harder as the numbers increase. SEQUENCE Number sequences are introduced using boxes which sound out the number in turn as they are touched, teaching your child which number follows the previous one using audio and visual feedback. RECOGNITION This minigame is designed to promote logical thinking and counting to solve the puzzle and find out which is the correct amount associated with the number being shown. Towards the higher numbers this provides a challenging test, yet without blocking the flow to the next section of the game. END-TO-END GAMEPLAY At the end a sticker is given out which can be used to decorate your child’s train and promote a sense of achievement. Gameplay has been designed to be flowing to prevent your child from becoming stuck or frustrated. They are encouraged to repeat and enforce the learning goals being achieved.
