  • NO plays have registered since the first few days

    I’ve checked plays on separate Amazon & Apple Artist apps and I’ve had 40-something on Amazon and almost as many on Apple (not to mention multiple Shazams) but these will NOT seem to show on DistroKid. I’ve had people use my song in TikTok/FB/Instagram videos but nothing there either. I don’t even know how many plays I’ve had on other platforms because I don’t have accounts on most of them and have enough trouble trying to figure out how to even get in contact with some of the support for those streaming services… which is ridiculous considering I shouldn’t have to be the one to have to jump through all these hurdles when I have to pay for a subscription, not to mention all the costs and fees just to release my first song with DistroKid. The ONLY thing that has EVER registered in DistroKid are the first 4 streams on Spotify that occurred within the first few days of release. I KNOW more people have listened to my song on one service or another, and I’ve even posted a list of ALL the platforms it’s on to multiple social media accounts. But even though I mentioned this to DistroKid they just say that it “takes a while” for some of these to come in. Well AWHILE has been about a month and a half for Apple & Amazon for CERTAIN! I can’t download and sign up for the ton of services that my song is on, if all even HAVE any kind of artist insights if I were to do so. Many aren’t even English based platforms but I’ve shared this on social platforms where I have many followers from all over the world… I just can’t access that streaming data myself. There needs to be some kind of artist insight profile, or companion app, provided by DistroKid that connects artists with ALL platforms DistroKid distributes our music to. Because the way it is right now is insanely difficult to work with. Most of us don’t have the time or device space to sign up for profiles on all these streaming platforms, and we shouldn’t HAVE to in order to be able to access the data for our OWN content/artist profile created by these platforms.

    You pay for the subscription without a free trial. You can’t bypass anything after until you have a CC on file. With CC’s on File, I don’t trust any site that requires my personal information just to see if it’s a good source to use.

    I’m not sure if there is a glitch but I just paid money for a subscription and it keeps going to the subscription page. I have restarted the app and my phone, it will not go pass this page but tells me I have a subscription until June 2025. Ugh!!

    Unreliable, support is terrible, uploads whenever they want & not your scheduled release time, uploads to the wrong pages etc…. Every issue you can think of you’ll run into. Wasted time and money that I can never get back. Do your research.

    I was forced to upgrade to Musician Ultimate and the customer service experience has been frustrating as each response is a new person who haven't read anything in the thread and most of the responses are copy/paste word for word and did not address anything I brought up. After over 50 releases, years of stats etc they're at risk of being erased because I don't want to upgrade and currently the only way to remedy the issue is for me to cancel my account (which removes all of my music, stats, etc) and to then create a new account. I hope no other independent artist has to go through this.

    Please let me back into the app. I already paid but when I tried to log back in, I’m being asked to pay again - the screen is on the payment page and asks for me to pay for membership before I can open and view anything. Is it stuck or is this normal? I did reach out and also had to ask for a receipt and it says there was an issue printing my receipt. I can see the charge on my bank account so that’s not an issue.
