  • It’s buggy that’s why there’s no free trial

I saw an ad for this and after realising that I would never get to the end of their survey ended up just getting it from the App Store. There is no free trial all way to experience the app without paying for a year long subscription. Once you do, you’ll find the app is full of UI issues.
  • It’s ok

I like the app, but devs need to work on a few things. The language playback is extremely quiet and you can barely hear what’s being said to you. Also, the speaking portion is very poorly designed. The app cannot hear what’s being said to it: you will say one thing, albeit not very well, but it will hear you say something completely different. You are asking for premium pricing the app should be flawless. I’ve used a few of these apps including Duolingo, Babble, and Lingopie and while the situational conversations are better something is missing.
  • Not good

The voice recognition portion of this program is frustrating. I just spent 5 minutes, trying to get past the last word in one of my lessons. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get it to recognize the word. And that’s just not unique. Whenever it goes to voice recognition, I spent forever trying to get it to recognize my pronunciation, and my pronunciation isn’t bad.

Went through the purchase process and attempted to use the app. I had a payment reported on my credit card, and confirmed my email address. I opted in for passkey. There was no way to login to the app, and no way to set a password. So I was locked out. The Link chat wasn’t able to help with account setup. I requested a refund. They couldn’t do it. Referred me to an email address at Jumpspeak. The whole deal was sketchy. Sloppy. Watch out.

I’m using it to supplement the other app that I’m using. I like the video lessons provided.
  • Never asked to renew

Be careful they try to renew without asking, thankfully my card was not on file. Use a different app that is honest.
  • Onboarding is confusing

Do not buy. They just try to upsell everything right away, even before you actually take the first lesson. They also don’t understand the process of language learning. Do not use this app unless you want to speak with an accent , they will ruin your pronunciation
  • Best so far

Easily better than Duolingo, no, I don’t need to know where the library is. No, I don’t need to know why my dog is flying a plane. This app is straight to the point and helps target exactly what and why you’re trying to learn a language. I’m trying to learn Spanish to better connect with a romantic interest who happens to be Mexican. The fact that she’s Mexican is very important because this app teaches me Spanish IN THAT DIALECT. I could have also learned it with different dialects too. If you want to learn languages for travel, romance, cooking, school, work, they have lessons for all of that. It helps a ton. There’s little things here and there that could be improved but by far the best language app I’ve seen.
  • Confusing to use

Learning Polish, so I had to use the AI function. About 20% of the time I would receive a response that was part Polish, part gibberish. In addition, the voice response from my words was hit and miss. I would repeat a phrase such as “myszle, ze tak (I think so, yes) only to be told by AI that I said something completely different. Kept searching for tutorials that might help guide me through how to better utilize the program but was unsuccessful. The Jumpspeak program is intriguing, but too many bugs for my preference.
