Description

Halo is a new approach to improving your health — a membership that provides you with innovative tools, personalized data and insights, and an ever-growing library of premium content designed to help you discover what works for you. This app requires the Halo Band or Halo View. Amazon Halo measures your activity (and inactivity), sleep, tone of voice, movement health, and body composition to give you a more complete picture of your overall health and help you build healthier habits for life. Key features: ACTIVITY • Informed by guidelines from the American Heart Association, Halo measures the intensity of your activity in addition to tracking steps and sedentary time. This means that working harder – for example, taking two stairs at a time, or going for a jog – helps you reach your weekly goals faster. SLEEP • Analyze your sleep patterns, like how long it takes you to fall asleep, how much you wake up at night, and how long you spend in each sleep stage. BODY COMPOSITION • Halo's Body feature is nearly twice as accurate as leading at-home smart scales. • Body uses your smartphone’s camera to determine your body fat percentage, which is a better indicator of health than weight or BMI alone. • A personalized 3D model helps you track changes. MOVEMENT - Halo uses your smartphone’s camera to accurately measure your mobility, stability, and posture, and then provides a personalized plan to help you improve over time. DISCOVER • Explore an ever-growing library of premium, on-demand workouts, daily meditations, as well as nutrition and sleep support. • These simple, measurable programs help you see the impact that small changes can make on the way you feel – like whether meditating improves your focus, or if a pet-free bedroom improves your sleep quality. TONE OF VOICE ANALYSIS • Halo analyzes the positivity and energy of your voice to show you how you may sound to others. • Too bright

App and band are both wonderful with one exception. When using the sleep meditations the screen stays at full brightness, even when the meditation is over. Hard to fall asleep when your bedroom is glowing. Other than that I’m a huge fan.

This app is a good start, but needs more features to view and sort your data. Also you should be able to load the app to another device and login without the Halo band needing to be setup again. The apps needs a better dashboard. I should not have to go to a submenu to view key features like sleep data. I should be able to see most of my data at a glance and click on it for more detail.

Liked Halo in the beginning. I am constantly struggling to sync the thing, waste quit a bit if time working on that or waiting for it to respond with data. Am looking at other devices, seriously considering something else and letting this go.

Overall I like it, is definitely motivating and the mobility metric is excellent. The reason for the mixed review is that I primarily got it for the sleep metrics and so far (several nights in a row) it is saying that I am going to sleep four hours after I am actually falling asleep. Not useful.

I had the first Halo band, & while it was great, this one is do much better. Only change i would want is that the screen be larger. For those of us with sight issues, having to put on glasses each time we want to see something is a pain. The clock portion is fine, but the rest, is way too small to read. I can’t even use the other screens because I cannot read them.

Which is important when their products break without misuse
  • Poor UX design

No simplified dashboard vie showing all stats. How can you see resting heart rate. In addition the app is VERY slow to respond and is constantly refreshing, who wants to wait 30 seconds to see your sleep score.

I have been trying this for a few months. Everytime I want to sync the commection is lost. The app says double click on the wrist band to connect but that does not work. So I wnet into bluetooth settings. For a while it works but now even that does not work anymore. Bad experience
  • Inconsistent tracking

Some days it tracks my treadmills runs (1-2 hours a day) and some days it does not … so inconsistent that I can’t rely on it.

I like the halo fit bit except I should have gotten a bigger one. This one is difficult to see and read .
