  • Unbalanced shuffling algorithm

Since last major update the shuffling algorithm got messed up. Decks which were balanced now are wildly unbalanced. Getting 4-5 draws of nonland cards or vice versa of only getting constant land draws. Decks which were not changed or had cards banned are now wildly unbalanced. Don’t know if developers tweaked the algorithm or the app has a bug.

I’m extremely new to the MTG world and felt like this would be great to learn the game. When playing against AI it’s fun and you learn the game. After beating AI you go into PvP and let me tell you if you’re new to the game you will NOT win a match. So I go back to AI to learn more but it gets so boring and repetitive with no new ways to play. Needs better practice and a mode to go against new players.
  • Rigged to get you to spend

Great game but It pairs you with people who have the exact deck to defeat yours litterally everytime if you play tournaments. not at all like real life where its more of a gamble. If you play regular matches youre highly likely to get allot of wins if youre good at magic. But when you do a tournament it pairs you with people who have the exact strategy to destroy your deck and the better your deck the worse starting hand to “balance” the game, the game that is meant to be more random not evenly matched decks everytime. Wich is obviously a design to get you to spend money to get better cards. Constantly thinking “ if i just changed this one thing”. And i only really boticed this pattern pick up after i spent some actual money on the game. i used to get way more wins. So it penalizez you for more profit when you spend money on it.
  • Great online play

Amazing introduction to online MTG if you have no idea what the physical tcg is like but only part that I dislike is even though you can purchase bundles, packs and individual cards you are not able to purchase precons or at least MTG Arena precons. Overall this is a great game and best way to dip your toes into MTG since a few of the locals I been too have a younger crowd or a set group that play themselves. There are plenty of events and prereleases are fun but I feel Magic is missing something to bring in players besides the newest set, I see an opportunity for both new and dedicated Mages where just like casual nights there is a precons night or a learners set with gradual raises in strength; 1-10 that are loaned out for a buy in.
  • Honestly, it’s gotta be a scam. Sadly because I love playing MTG

The game is great. However, the system doesn’t shuffle decks well and when playing the starter deck only games, it’s completely lopsided. You either win 28-0 or you lose 28-0 and it’s pretty consistently bad. People just end up quitting 3-4 turns in because it’s clear that the “shuffle” isn’t realistic. I shouldn’t be able to throw down a 16pt attack on someone 3 turns in who only had the chance to throw down 1 creature. It’s boring. So fix that, and this is the best game online. Another issue is blatant exploits by players. I have seen situations that could NEVER happen in a real game. MTG needs to put some effort in making meaningful controls before people get sick of being up 24-5 and then losing in 2 turns because a player suddenly develops a 10 card run with only 5 manna open. It’s clearly a glitch and things like this are extremely common. The fact that you cannot report these players is an indication that MTG knows of this and uses it as a strategy to entice a player to spend real money on fake things like fancy broken cards. It’s pathetic. I gave up on trying to enjoy friendly play with others and stick to playing bots to hone my skills and simply, practice different decks. There is no other worthwhile reason to play anyone. The “ranked” system doesn’t even work. I end up playing people 2-3 ranks above me with more access to advanced cards.

Put him in bad for business when he’s not shown for crafting or any other cards prior to game release.
  • Went to report a bug. Even that glitched

Overall a pretty meh experience. I like magic and this was… fine. The UI and how you progress to new gameplay is terribly unclear. No idea the rhyme or reason behind the timing system. Then had glitches. Went to report a glitch and the page to do that glitched… not great

I really wanted to try Magic on my phone but its really a terrible interface. Obviously they never tested the interface on people didn’t know it already.

This is the only way to play magic now. Get free packs and play…600$ for 12 packs is insane WOTC.
  • Fixed, Terrible Game

So many bots, keep track of who you play it’s very easy to tell, if not log it. Hand smoothing is rigging. Play the best? Lose to a meme deck. The odds of earth getting wiped out right now are better than the RNG in this game, so fixed. Terrible game, fix the shuffler, stop rigging the games. My post will be blocked again so screenshot for Reddit.
