  • Failure to disclose GPS location requirement - violation of data privacy!

SONOS fails to disclose that you must provide them via the APP the precise location data that can track your location anywhere on the planet within 3 feet - coarse location tracking should have been sufficient. WHY? Not needed, just want to snoop and sell your data. Shame on you!
  • Should Be called The Sonos Divorce App

The hardware is great, no, it’s actually amazing sounding and well built equipment. Kudos to Sonos on that. The app however is an abomination. If you are part a couple and wish to co-own and operate a multi-room home system, gird yourselves for lots of frustration, questions about what the heck is going on, elevated voices, accusations about “you changing something” and only “the master” account being able to effectively access streaming media accounts the other is directed to use the generic Sonos portal or you’ll have to sign on as the other. The “other” account will be essentially a side piece, an interloper to the overall system. As this lesser user, you cannot change simple sound settings. AirPlay or anything meaningful without a court order and supervision. This needs a major overhaul now. Anyone visiting your home that wishes to play music should be swiftly directed to use the clock radio for fear of creating a breakdown in the fabric of the household. This is a hot mess. Somebody please help!!
  • Worst App on My Phone

Update: The English language falls short when attempting to express my searing hatred for this app. If you want a system that pauses when you press the pause button, turns down when you turn down and increases volume when you adjust the volume upward, keep moving; this ain’t it. You have come to the wrong place. If you want to spend thousands of dollars to fill your house with incredibly sounding speakers only to deal with a clunky user experience, listen to music that cuts in and out as much as a scratched cd, randomly drops speakers from your system and delays almost every command that you give it, rejoice! You have found it! Sonos is your product.
  • Terrible connectivity so the devices

Constantly disconnects from devices. Completely unreliable. We’ve changed everything but Sonos itself and that is the only constant
  • Quite terrible now

This used to be the greatest app ever, easy to use, rare crushes, worked perfectly. Now it’s the worst app ever. Crushes all the time, not working very often, thinking of selling Sonos speakers cause this became too exhausting to use. Too bad unfortunately. (I gave 2 stars only because of nostalgia. I’m using it for a really long time..)
  • Can't trust Apple App Store reviews.

My experience with this app, the forms, articles....they all paint the same picture...SONOS (blank) with this new app. I see the speakers being sold on EBAY heavily discounted (that's how I got all mine...and I have 20)....yet the App Store has this app at 4.5 maybe a little higher. 😄🤦‍♂️....what a lie. It improving from the garbage it was a year ago, but I would say it's only 50% of where it should be. I observed years ago I can't trust Apple or the App Store.

There’s no reason to force updates it seems like every other week. Non sense! Everything was working fine already.

Even though it’s now been a few years since the powers that be absolutely blew up and ruined this app, I’m still sad about its demise. This use to be such an amazingly seamless app that connected all Sonos speakers in the house, connected great, music played immediately, it was just perfect. And then, someone who knew nothing thought they knew better. We always upgrade our kits but after the use of our current setup has fallen off, we’ll be replacing it with something else. I know this review is just yelling at clouds but Sonos use to be at the top of the food chain and then a higher up ruined it. Tale as old as time. The app is still terrible, user interface is clunky, trying to play music is the most frustrating thing in the world. I’m just sad. Great job whomever you were that killed this app.
