I love the Fable app. I’m not really a fan of most social media. It feels like, even if you work really hard, some pretty awful stuff can seep through onto your feed, and social media can be toxic. But fable is all reading centered, and I have found such community connecting with the people on the app, sharing my book reviews, reading others, following new friends, seeing what everyone’s reading. I love it!

Fable is a very fun way to motivate yourself to read and connect with other book lovers.

This app is great. It is a social for discussing books. It tracks why you read, the genres you love and recommends books. I do wish it would track grade levels of what one reads. I think that would go a long way to motivate people to improve their own literacy.

I love almost everything about this app. It looks great and the reading tracker is super helpful. I just don’t like that it’s basically a social media app. I wish there was an option to disable the home feed for those of us who don’t want to see that. But it’s not a huge deal and the app is great otherwise.

I’m genuinely loving the Fable app. It’s such a cozy, welcoming space for bookish people, and it makes reading feel communal again instead of lonely. I love how it connects readers, suggests great books, and creates real conversations around stories. It feels like a book club that actually gets me. Highly recommend if you love reading and want to feel a little less alone while doing it.

Ever since I’ve joined (December 2025), I’ve enjoyed the app. My favorite aspects are the feed to scroll through reviews and meet others and joining book clubs. The books are also very interesting. I’m so glad I was encouraged to download fable!
  • No data export

The app is fantastic and I would give it 10 out of 5 stars. Except once you add your reads, you cannot get them back out of the app. I love everything else, but without an export option it’s like a back account without withdrawal. Purposely keeping users by withholding the user’s own data is a predatory corporate strategy and the antithesis of what this app otherwise stands for. Honestly, shame on the developers for not standing by the values the app was built on.

Absolute 5/5. Best way to start a new year. I’ve downloaded the habit tracker app. This was an audio book but I will likely buy the book to keep and refer to.
