  • Beware - SCAM - Beware

Signed up for trial but found app was terrible within 24 hours and canceled subscription. They have tried to charge my debit card twice and were unsuccessful each time. Beware, they are trying to rob you! I have a debit card that I can turn off when I need to thank goodness or these cheaters would’ve gotten $100 from my account. I signed into the app using my Apple account, so I figured I could cancel it through my Apple Pay account. It showed up as a subscription there and I canceled it. That didn’t work. These scammers tried to charge my account 3 times! Declined every time. They should’ve stopped after the first time and closed my account but they didn’t. Maybe someone should start a class action against them. I can’t because I didn’t lose anything. But I would be happy to help others who did. This kind of behavior really makes me angry. If I get notified of a class action against them, I’ll tell the class attorneys what happened to me regardless of if I receive anything.
  • The science of happiness course is helping me with my OCD

I have OCD, and I worry a lot. This course help explain how people who are in the moment are the happiest. Iif they’re thinking positive thoughts like lost in a daydream they’re just as happy. If they’re taking neutral thoughts, they’re less happy than being in the moment. And if they’re thinking negative thoughts are significantly less happy. This is what I do all the time with OCD. And I know that sounds obvious, but when I saw it in a chart and what brain activities are activated when worrying it just made it much more simple to me and it’s helping me worry less.

  • Love Imprint, hate their “streaks”

Please stop the confusing streaks: why a daily streak, a within-day streak, and a points-based streak? It’s just a mess. Hate that I finish one book and I’m shoved two disparate mini-games on me. What’s the difference? Why make me waste time thinking about the difference? Simplify this annoying mess, or give me the option to turn it off. Until then, 1 star.

  • Age rating needs to be changed or ads before each unit

Before anyone reads this I haven’t REALLY used the app because I wasn’t able to but I’m going to explain why even though I’m sure this is a great app! So I’m a little older than 12 and I downloaded the app. I was really excited because I looked at some reviews and they said it was amazing! However when I got it I didn’t know that you had to pay, and I’m someone who has no job because a little older than 12. I’m kinda disappointed and I think there should be an age change or like a way to watch an ad before each unit. I’m sure this is a great app, I’m just disappointed I can’t use it without paying. Even if I do the free trial there will be no point because I won’t be able to pay for the actual trial. Which is just sad. So again either change the age rating or a way for there to be ads before each unit please 🙏🥲
  • Necessary Subscription

Nowhere in the ad or description did it say it was necessary to purchase a description. I’m disappointed because I was excited about this app and the opportunity to learn new things in a fun way.
  • Non existent customer service

So frustrating. Non existing customer service. Unable to update account information to log onto a different device. Forced to pay after the free trial even though I’m unable to utilize the app.
  • Being barred from using the product despite paying also terrible experience and customer service

I canceled my subscription, it was one for a year, 99$, and well I did it because I was not expecting to use the service past the expiration date of that subscription. This is because well for one, the lessons really aren’t that great, and there are flaws in them. Incorrect information yet teaching as if they are correct. Thats a scary thing. After that I am being barred from using the service despite still having the “subscription”. I open the app, despite having paid for the product for a year, and I cant use any of the product as it bars it as if I havent boughten a subscription. I emailed them, their support and this is what they said “Hi, Thanks for reaching out to Imprint! We've received your email and will reply as soon as we can. Please note we're a super small team - we aim to get back to you within a day, but if you email outside of our working hours (M - F 8am-5pm EST) it may take a bit longer. Here's some info about common issues: Need to cancel your trial or subscription? If you purchased through the Imprint website, follow these instructions: Go to imprintapp.com/cancel and log in. Click 'Manage' near your subscription details. Select 'Cancel Plan' Click once more to confirm to Cancel your plan. If you purchased through the App Store, follow these cancellation instructions. If you purchased through Google Play, follow these cancellation instructions. Have a billing issue or need to request a refund? Make sure your email includes the email address used to make the purchase. For other issues, see our FAQ here. We'll be in touch as soon as possible. The Imprint Team” In response to “I unsubscribed from my yearly subscription, but i should have access till november 8th, yet the app wont let me have access to anything.” I have nothing to say other than this company is just bad, fraudulent lessons as in they teach you incorrectly, horrible customer service and barring people who paid from using the product. What makes them good? Well, it’s easier to digest information in an easier format to use day by day. Making it a more enjoyable learning experience. After that, its got a decently good user interface. Most of the product isn’t great though.

You can't do literally anything/any lessons without paying, either monthly or yearly. It advertised and described itself as "Duolingo but for philosophy" when I found it. At least Duolingo has a free version with ads. This honestly seemed like such a cool app. I love learning new things, and I've been wanting to study more into philosophy. It baffles me sometimes that learning costs money nowadays. I probably would've used it frequently.
