Description

Bark provides families with all the tools they need to raise kids in the digital age. Our comprehensive service lets you monitor content, manage screen time, and filter websites so you can get peace of mind while your child is online. CONTENT MONITORING Bark monitors your child’s texts, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, suicidal ideation, threats of violence, and more. Parents receive alerts only when something potentially problematic occurs online. You won’t have full access to everything on your child’s phone — just the things you might need to know about. SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi). WEB FILTERING Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more. BARK TESTIMONIALS • "My wife and I LOVE Bark. We've had some tough but productive conversations with our 13-year-old son. It's proving to be extremely valuable." — Josh L. • “It’s just another set of protections we as parents give our kids for the digital environment (or as my 10-year-old calls it, a “cell phone seat belt”). My oldest is a 9th grader, and while I trust her, I’ve come to realize through the alerts that some of her friends aren’t truly her friends. It’s led to some amazing conversations about choosing friends wisely and recognizing toxic people. While she wasn’t for Bark at first, she’s since said she’s grateful that I saw those messages because it reaffirmed what she was feeling but didn’t know how to verbalize without sounding sensitive.” — Bark Parent • "Bark notified me that my young daughter had unknowingly revealed her phone number to strangers on Twitter. The fact that Bark notified me was impressive and led to an informative discussion with her the same day." — Jon B. • “Since Bark alerted us to the suicidal language used in the Google doc that was being used in a chat document with a friend, we have seen both a pediatrician and a licensed counselor. We are hopeful for a positive outcome. Thanks to Bark for letting us peek into our child’s mind!” — Bark Parent • “This app is a lifesaver! It has allowed us to catch so many “red flags” in the content my kids have accessed on their devices and in their interactions with friends and other people online that I wouldn’t have ever known about otherwise. The big difference between Bark and other “Parental Control” software is that Bark allows your kids to have so much more privacy. It doesn’t show you everything they do, but sends an instant alert regarding any activity that might be concerning. Highly recommended!” — Bark Parent With Bark, you can help keep your kids safe both online and in real life. Try it out for seven days absolutely free! • Immaculate app performance

I was flustered at first, but via hyyphack@ gmail •com truly delivers. With just a phone number, I can locate & track anyone I want to keep an eye on. Whether it’s for a family safety, finding a lost device or just checking in on loved ones, this app makes it effortless. The real-time tracking is incredibly accurate, and the ghost mode ensures my own privacy when needed. A must-have for anyone who wants to stay connected and in control!
  • 24hrs of frustration

6am - Setup took 2 hours for three iPads and a IPhone. Not terrible, just a commitment. 8:30pm - emergent deleting of the app and VPN from the iPads due to a day of significant connectivity issues across multiple devices, and basic features like game access, app control, and YouTube integration were inconsistent or unavailable. If I had access approved on the app, it did not reflect on the devices. I tried restarting and several other methods with the chat bot before getting service email assistance. All they did was incorrectly state my problems and dismiss what I actually said. No, I’m not complaining my internet was slow. When I deleted the app and VPN, everything went back to normal. It was frustrating and frankly not user friendly. So glad I didn’t spend the money.

I’m trying to set this up and it is too difficult for me. I’m relying on my children to help me which defeats the purpose.

The app is great at what it says it does it allows over controlling parents to look through teen’s messages private pics and everything else I absolutely loveeeeeeee evading my teens space it’s so great! Why develop a relationship where my child feels comfortable to tell me things when I can just use this app and know all the private conversations there having!!! But seriously I’m not judging the app it does, what it’s made for and does a great job. This app is great to use with younger kids, but if you as a parent have too put this on your teens (13-17) phone then respectfully you have not done a good job to let your teens know you are a safe place to come to about feelings, concerns, or if the are going through something inappropriate that they don’t feel comfortable with. But who am I to judge I’m just 15

We couldn’t get it to download the secret app in the google family step despite following all the steps and reading tips so it’s only partially functional.

You have to reconnect through your computer every 2-3 days and it never really connects when you try to do it. I will sit there for an hour trying to get to connect and it never does. The “chat” is just a bot that submits an email to someone. I have sent multiple emails with no answer. I’m going to cancel and get my money back. Garbage app experience and horrible customer service. Would not recommend this app to anyone. My child has an iPhone.
  • Not effective for iPhones

It is not able to maintain monitoring on iPhone. I liked it when it worked but it kept disconnecting and I got tired of manually synchronizing the phone. Thumbs down.
  • Terrible app

This is one of the worst apps I’ve encountered. The set up process is terrible and the dev team for this needs to do a much better job. Insights from the device are good, but the experience around the app/using the app are awful.
  • Difficult to install

Ridiculously difficult to install on Apple devices. You need to download & install software to a separate computer in order to make the app work on the phones/devices.
