Description

Bark provides families with all the tools they need to raise kids in the digital age. Our comprehensive service lets you monitor content, manage screen time, and filter websites so you can get peace of mind while your child is online. CONTENT MONITORING Bark monitors your child’s texts, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, suicidal ideation, threats of violence, and more. Parents receive alerts only when something potentially problematic occurs online. You won’t have full access to everything on your child’s phone — just the things you might need to know about. SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi). WEB FILTERING Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more. BARK TESTIMONIALS • "My wife and I LOVE Bark. We've had some tough but productive conversations with our 13-year-old son. It's proving to be extremely valuable." — Josh L. • “It’s just another set of protections we as parents give our kids for the digital environment (or as my 10-year-old calls it, a “cell phone seat belt”). My oldest is a 9th grader, and while I trust her, I’ve come to realize through the alerts that some of her friends aren’t truly her friends. It’s led to some amazing conversations about choosing friends wisely and recognizing toxic people. While she wasn’t for Bark at first, she’s since said she’s grateful that I saw those messages because it reaffirmed what she was feeling but didn’t know how to verbalize without sounding sensitive.” — Bark Parent • "Bark notified me that my young daughter had unknowingly revealed her phone number to strangers on Twitter. The fact that Bark notified me was impressive and led to an informative discussion with her the same day." — Jon B. • “Since Bark alerted us to the suicidal language used in the Google doc that was being used in a chat document with a friend, we have seen both a pediatrician and a licensed counselor. We are hopeful for a positive outcome. Thanks to Bark for letting us peek into our child’s mind!” — Bark Parent • “This app is a lifesaver! It has allowed us to catch so many “red flags” in the content my kids have accessed on their devices and in their interactions with friends and other people online that I wouldn’t have ever known about otherwise. The big difference between Bark and other “Parental Control” software is that Bark allows your kids to have so much more privacy. It doesn’t show you everything they do, but sends an instant alert regarding any activity that might be concerning. Highly recommended!” — Bark Parent With Bark, you can help keep your kids safe both online and in real life. Try it out for seven days absolutely free! This is one of the worst apps I have seen it is the most invasive app , I am getting my child’s emails and messages and it is saying she is on the wrong things and she is not ,it also took a long time to set up. This is the worst app do NOT download.
  • Doesn’t do what you think it would do.

Good luck getting this to work as you think it would or even work. More of hassle and you would be better off using your Apple settings and talking to your kids. Doesn’t work with switch or school computers or even ipads. Waste of time and money.
  • iPhone 16e will not sync

We had bought a new iPhone 16e for my kiddo, did everything for set up, will analyze for maybe a day or so over WiFi then stops. Troubleshot everything suggested by Bark, still the same problem. This is disappointing because it feels like what was said the app does it actually does not perform how described, super frustrating..
  • No easy to use

We found this app is not easy. We can’t see our kids texts on their phones, you have to go and add a website when they try to look it up. We want control but it should be when we see necessary on a site and not a have to approve it first. We want to see texts by logging in our phones and see what they are texting. Y’all make a hype about this but it’s horrible.

We love my son’s Bark phone. It allows him to enjoy all the upsides of having a phone, and it only notifies me if there’s an issue, so his privacy is preserved. I’m happy we found this a couple of years ago and we plan to continue using it for many years to come.
  • Are you safe from bark

This app seems like it could be great so I tried it. After a couple hours I was finally able to get through all the steps but soon realized that it does not provide real time monitoring however the steps I took to set up my daughters phone gave them access to my phone, my computer, and my daughters phone. It won’t allow me to install on my child’s phone without first installing on my computer then plugging her phone into the computer for a 1 hr process to obtain all of her information and since has not monitored her phone. This seems sketchy, especially since there isn’t any way to contact the company to troubleshoot. Be cautious, it seems like a great app to obtain personal info in the guise of keeping your child safe.

Don’t waste your money on this app. The advertising makes it sound easy to use and flawless. We had about 3 months of a good experience and then the app stopped communicating. We tried everything that was suggested plus some. No success. I no longer received location updates or any other “warnings”. After multiple attempts, we gave up and requested a refund. They refused to issue a refund because the subscription was through Apple. Overall, good for a few months but if there’s ever a bug or somehow the phone and app stop communicating, then it’s game over. It also advertises that it’s easy to use and it’s the opposite. For monitoring, you have to plug the phone into the computer. Who has time for that everyday?? And why have a parent app. Just too complicated and not enough links worked out. Save your money.
  • Way too complicated

Needs to be more user-friendly!!! Nothing in the app is intuitive.
  • Worthless for iPhone

This app shouldn’t even be marketed to anyone with iPhone. It’s useles. Customer service is almost non existent. If anything goes wrong i have to spend a week trouble shooting with someone via email. Messages always stop sending and the app deems what it thinks you should see anyway. Not worth the money, i could go on and on. Couldn’t be more disappointed In this
  • Such a waste of money

We installed this on my son’s iphone and gave it a year before canceling it. His WiFi never works, his phone drops calls, his location is never correct, and it CONSTANTLY needs to be docked to our laptop to even do what we installed it for. Removing it and trying Aura instead.
