The planning part of this app is great but using it on the roed is too clunky. The biggest flaw here is it doesnt just pick up on the route when you pull off for a short stop, instead it asks a confusing question about the last waypoint. Answer wrong and you'll have to pull over and wait for it to find your position to resume the route.

Best darn travel software you can use. Been using the iphone app for years and the desktop & iPad planner makes an app even better.

Very user-friendly and has outstanding features. I've been testing 4 or 5 different apps for several weeks in order to get a good idea of each ones capability. If I could only use one of them, inRoute would be it. Don't take my word for it though; try an app your using and compare it to inRoute . . . and then you'll see!
  • Limited use, crashes on import

Have Road Trip Planner, but it's glitchy. Trying this one, tried to import the GPX from RTP. Crashed 2x after install. Set up route, point by point. We have lengthy road trips and visit multiple people repeatedly. Cannot add same address to route more than once. Does anyone who take road trips actually make this software?
  • not very friendly at times when cell signal has been lost

When I lost cell service several times in the mountains, the mapping ability seemed totally useless. I had to fall back into Google maps to utilize previously saved mapped regions when I currently was located to be able to slightly alter my newly desired course and close Inroute in this area.
  • A great app that gets better with each update!

This is a great app. It makes planning motorcycle trips fun. The Search function is great. Being able to search by miles and time makes planning breaks on long rides easy. One big improvement should be added. I would like to see the posted Speed Limit displayed on the map while traveling. A great app worth the price. Ivan Baton Rouge LA

During the trial run completed a detailed rout and saved but later tried to open app and it failed to open. Don't need the aggravation.
  • Best in Class and Topnotch Customer Support

Basecamp, Google My Maps, Furkot, RidewithGPS - if it was capable of planning a route I've tried it. All either had a frustratingly steep learning curve or were incapable of reliably planning a ride that combined highways and curvy roads for moto trips. inRoute has an amazingly easy interface that makes it easy to change your route to focus on the terrain you wish to pass thru (curvy, scenic, highway). The routes you create can be used on your phone or easily downloaded onto a GPS unit. Moreover their customer service is topnotch - I had an issue accessing my subscription on my Mac, sent an email off on a Friday evening, received a reply fixing the issue within half and hour! I rarely write reviews (too lazy) but I'm so impressed with the product and service that I'm motivated to write this

After the developer realized there was some issues with recent updates, this app has gone back to being awesome again! Love the idea that I can map things out for our business purposes, as well as periodic updates on the weather, terrain, etc.
