Description

Weekly is a beautiful budget app based on a week. Weekly is the most effective way to plan a budget, stop overspending and save for your money goals. Weekly is both a budget planner and spending tracker. Weekly starts with a simple guided budget setup where you put in all your recurring bills and income. Next, you add in your savings goals. Then based on those budget items, Weekly calculates for you your weekly spending limit. Once your budget is set, our one-of-a-kind spending tracker monitors your day-to-day spending by downloading your transactions from your bank (or you can add them manually). You can then quickly and easily organize your purchases into categories. We will show you how much you are spending on things like “Gas” and “Groceries” or any other category you would like to track. As the weeks go by you can see your average spending by category and challenge yourself to keep your “Safe-to-Spend” balance “in the green”. Weekly is also a great bill organizer. You will see your upcoming bills and whether they have been paid. Weekly will tell you the number of days left until the next bill is due and notify you when bills are due. Connect your banks and credit cards to see all your account balances in one place and stay on top of your personal finances and your budget. Tracking money with Weekly is fun. Use emojis to represent your different recurring bills and safe-to-spend categories. Weekly’s one tap review icons let you quickly confirm your transactions and keep on track with your budget. Weekly is perfect for household & personal budgets. You can also share Weekly to stay on track with your budget with a spouse or partner. The steps to budgeting with Weekly. • good app becoming worse with every update

I like the app, it is a simple way of budgeting and tracking expenses; I have been a premium subscriber for several years though that may be ending. For some reason the creators of this app think that removing features counts as an update. This is odd self sabotaging behavior. Recently they changed the fund feature so now I have to do math on my own to set up a weekly fund, whereas before the fund had several different setups to take all of that pesky math out. They’ve also removed the option to add an expense then add another expense immediately after. Requiring several more taps all over the screen to do the same thing. What features have been added? Fund goals. After you’ve done all of the budgeting on your own with your calculator and spreadsheet and entered into the app how much you want to save each week, the shiny new feature will tell you how many weeks it will take to reach your goal. Not very useful. This is frustrating and sad to see a once beloved app become worse and worse because of careless creator tinkering. I will likely not continue to pay for the app if they continue to remove features for no good reason. Typically, if an app creator wants to alter a feature they make it customizable so that the feature has expanded capabilities, not reduced capabilities. Macrofactor is a tracking app for calories that I also pay for. Nearly every screen in the app is customizable so the app user determines what features are included and the app creator doesn’t have to impose their mercurial preferences on the user. Weekly creators: please stop removing features, instead make the app features customizable. Also integrate the Apple financekit so Apple savings and Apple Card transactions can be linked to the app. Most other premium finance apps have these abilities and are big reasons I’m now considering not renewing my subscription. You could also add a feature to try a hypothetical adjustment to your budget, for example by contributing more to your retirement savings and cutting out a few subscriptions. You could see how these changes would affect your weekly spending limit without actually altering your budget. Of course it would be nice to also have the option to save the hypothetical changes if the user found them agreeable. This would be helpful when considering a new job opportunity, considering a new rental or mortgage refinance, or benefits package.

This is the best budget app I have ever tried. I use it and recommend it to others. Not a fan of latest update with blue checkmark in upper right corner.

I wish there was a place in the app to monitor debt and work on paying down debt using an avalanche or a snowball method with charts on debt payoff and debt payments so I wish it was just all in one
  • Hands down my favorite app.

This app changed my life. I’m not kidding. I’ve struggled with budgeting because we get paid weekly. All apps want to balance to zero at the end of the month and it just doesn’t work for me. This app has allowed me to save up over 8,000 just in the short time I’ve been using it because of its fund buckets and managing how much needs to come out each week to cover my bills. I am so happy with this app.

I want to build a shortcut to automatically track apple pay transactions. It would save me a lot of time.

  • Almost perfect for ADHD!

Weekly is by far the best budgeting app I’ve ever found for my ADHD (and I have tried SO MANY.) the one missing piece is I need my safe to spend number to show up on my browser somehow so that I see it before I spend — from experience I know that I’m just not capable of remembering to look at that big, wonderful widget on my phone BEFORE I spend. A browser extension or Mac menu bar that showed the number constantly would be ideal. And I know it would be helpful to non-ADHDers too. Until then, it only gets me 1/4 of the way from the relief from overspending that I need.

Love this App. It is almost everything I wanted in a budgeting app. There is one thing I wish it did and that was take into account the due dates of bills and adjust the weekly amount allocated to that bill accordingly. For example, if I have a bill due next week and I only just entered it yesterday, it gives me a weekly total based on a year and not the fact that it’s due next week. So it’s not having me save enough money this week in order to have the full amount readily available next week. I can create a fund and do that math myself to figure out how much more I need to save each week until the bill is due, but that’s proving to get very tedious. That’s really is the only thing I’ve noticed so far that I hope they can add in near future updates. Otherwise, it’s a-mazing and I love this app!!!
