DoorDash really needs to look into shoppers that report items missing or wrong! I was a pro shopper (6/6) and it dropped me down to 5/6 because a customer reported six items missing from their order! SIX?! That’s just ridiculous considering we have to take pictures of receipts plus take pictures of where we leave the items. That’s fraudulent activity and the customers accounts should be deactivated and DD should go into their system and they can see receipts and drop off pictures.
  • One Time Rate Issue

Please read this review! I do like DoorDashing, but there’s been an issue with the On-Time Rate. I have been getting late arrivals to drop off deliveries to customers’ houses/apartments. I make it there late either because of heavy traffic or can’t find the right number of an apartment. Anytime I try to dispute the late delivery, it will not accept it, even if the customer understands why it was late. I even would let customers know that I’m going to be late in advance, yet it will not accept the dispute. If the customer is okay or understanding with the order being late, then DoorDash needs to understand and respect the dispute of late deliveries. It should be acceptable. The only time to NOT accept the dispute is if the customer complains or does not understand why it’s late.

The app completely crashed today while I was dashing multiple orders. One of my orders is still marked as not shopped, even though I had marked it and completed all steps. I even hand delivered the items and took extra photos to cover all bases. I can’t get ahold of live support, and AI keeps saying she marked the order as delivered, but that’s not being recognized on the app. I missed prime night before Thanksgiving dashing because I can’t dash any new orders until this one is marked complete. I am absolutely livid. I truly hope this is fixed so I can Dash the day after Thanksgiving. This is my side hustle, and I have things to pay for being a solo parent.
  • Terrible

Have tried troubleshooting every possible method and still I am not able to enter the dash. They managed to flip this app on its head over night. Not dependable. Now would be a good time for a competitor to offer what this company fails to function at.
  • App keeps crashing

Overall it’s a pretty solid user experience and it makes your job as a driver easier but not making navigating the app too difficult and after a few deliveries you get a feel for what to expect. One thing is that the app crashing like every 5-10 minutes so is very frustrating when trying to use the GPS to go to the customer or pickup location and you don’t know that area that well and you miss a turn or you take a picture for the delivery and the app crashes and you have to wait for it to restart while you’re at the customers door. Sometimes the app itself freezes in the background while still allowing you to use the app then when you submit a receipt or confirm the delivery you’ll get an error code and have to restart the app and it wastes time when it’s happening all day.

DoorDash lets you schedule a shift through the app, but when you arrive at the hotspot you can end up sitting for hours without any orders. Contacting support doesn’t help—they just say the system will assign an order eventually and suggest changing locations. In reality, it’s a waste of time and gas. Very frustrating experience.

I drove around for 45 mins with no Orders in a hotspot zone. Then I got an Order for 6 dollars. That required me to go into a grocery store and then drive another 10 mins. So I spent almost an hour to make six dollars. If the order is making you drive more than 10 mins to a house. Door dash needs to be paying more or require a customer to make at least a 6 dollar tip. I spend more money on gas than I make DoorDashing.
  • DoorDash has to do something with the restaurants

The app works fine, as a gig is not enough money when you count in gas and mileage, but sometimes you need the extra cash and it’s “ok”. There is one thing that I will never get used to when dashing, why restaurants have a “dasher” area policy? Sometimes you make the lane on drive trough and after that the staff tells you, only inside the restaurant, so you have to go around, park, and go in and get the order, and it’s fine if it were the same for every place, but every restaurant has their own policy about this, so if you went in this time, maybe next time you will get in just to be told to go trough the drive trough. Restaurants need to start treating dasher as clients, not as garbage, and maybe the restaurant has certain policy, but as somebody that has worked in service for his whole life, if a customer is in front of me asking for his food I’m 100% gonna give it to him and then explain him the policy, but restaurants are so use to treat dashers like trash that they don’t even care, and that is 100% DoorDash responsability

Says busy all the time, when I logged in no offers more than an hour. Waste of time and gas. Worst of the worst.
