  • Paid for subscription but it doesn’t work

Update: The problem was fixed and I’m able to use my subscription. I paid for the subscription but it does not work. The app keeps asking me to restore purchase and it never restores. I have a receipt email but Apple will not refund it. I contacted support and they said the problem should be fixed. I tried to restore purchase again and the same thing happened.

We have six kids and a very busy schedule. We love our skylight calendar, and I’ve been waiting for a widget for my phone. Keep up the good work!

How did you manage to screw this app up so badly? It used to be easy to send photos but now it continues to ask you to upgrade. What a shame.

Skylight saves our family! Would love to see a way to sort the calendar by category, a search option in the calendar and also the ability to make a printable view. Those would be icing on the cake!
  • Bad changes

The new changes to the chores list make it significantly harder to use. It’s laggy, so when items move around when they are checked off, you end up, touching the wrong items. The days chores don’t update correctly, so you have to refresh the day of the week multiple times. It’s also harder to make new items, requiring more clicks with drop-down menus versus easily accessible buttons like it was before.
  • Uploading difficult

Every time I upload photos this app asks if I want to upgrade. If a video was accidentally selected the entire process needs to be repeated. I value my time.
  • Need to be able to swipe through photos

So easy to share and upload to the frame! Biggest complaint is you can’t swipe through the photos when you click on them. Unless you click slideshow, which lets you swipe but then you can’t see the captions, comments, or likes.
  • Won’t work

I have paid 1 year from June 2024 - 2025. It doesn’t work. I can’t click on cancel or extend subscription (however it is prepaid a year). On the device the system disconnects to WiFi often (it won’t update when adding events to your calendar from your phone or google calendar (the skylight sync to your calendar account). On the device the paid features won’t work. On my phone and on iMac, the system freezes whenever I click on skylight subscription. I have to close the App Store completely. Idk if it has a bug. Honestly the free version is good enough. The paid only gives you option to add photos as a screen saver if you have it set. I keep the calendar visible all day until bed time and it is black (sleep mode). You get meal planning. Also it’s unfortunately that last time I checked you can’t buy multiple calendar devices and link(sync) them together. Would be handy to have one at work(office) and one at home(main area). I would think you can just sync the calendar but maybe it won’t let you have two accounts open? I have not tried it since I’m not going to pay $300+ to test it out. I only did some minimal research on what others have shared. Kids liked the chore todo list. But they got over it after a week. It’s like but it could be better if it has reoccurring task to check off by. You need to manually add them each day. Works for a calendar displace that is sync to your Google. The color for the events don’t always match up or update. Annoying because I organized types of events by color. I wish Google had its own version that worked as a display device. Love all of it features.
  • My 8yo now loves to do chores!

The chore portion of the calendar is amazingly easy and my 8yo puts in his own chores and schoolwork and loves to check things off. It’s a positive reinforcement tool. My wife likes the meal planner. Now we build our meals and grocery list all on the calendar and app. Smokin’ easy and a game changer. We love it.
  • Needs Work

The frame is amazing. The app needs a lot of work. It’s frustrating there still isn’t widgets available for the iPhone. When I’m out, on the go, and want to see quickly what we have, i have to navigate thru the app, thru different calendars. A widget option would greatly improve user experience.
