Misleading. Skylight plus is not cross platform, even though in the reviews they act like it’s one service. There’s calendar plus and frame plus. Do better skylight.
  • Terrible instructions

This has taken more than an hour and we are still not able to import our calendars from our iPhones. The YouTube video is not clear and you have to figure out where each menu item is. This app will not allow me to sign in or sync. It keeps trying to get me to set up a new account. Very frustrating.

When the frame is placed vertically, the photos aren’t always centered and there’s no way to center them in the app. The app also automatically color corrects photos, poorly, with no ability to disable it. Additionally, when new photos are uploaded someone has to press the button on the screen before they show up.
  • Notification spam!

The picture frame works great but they recently started spamming notifications almost every day trying to get you to upload more pictures.

I absolutely love this calendar. It’s so clean and very easy to use. My daughter actually looks forward to her chores now. The only complaint I have so far is that there are multiple features that you have to upgrade to the plus. To sync photos and videos you have to pay either a monthly or yearly subscription. I just think that’s absolutely ridiculous. This calendar is expensive enough. These options should all be included on the app like other digital calendars. That’s where they get ya. But it is a great organization tool.
  • It’s a great concept but takes to long to get where you want.

I stopped using it. It really needs a widget to access the list and tasks quicker.
  • Add weather/temp/time for screensaver-for the Max version.

This organization is truly remarkable, providing a sense of control and order. It has been well-received by both the children and the wife, who are incredibly pleased with its effectiveness. Way to go skylight! Pls add screensaver Big font for the weather/temperature/time…
  • Helpful organization

I appreciate the features of the skylight calendar. I do wish the chore section had a note box to give more details for the chore if needed. Otherwise my kiddo loves checking off chores and routines to earn stars for rewards. Now, if I could just get my husband to look at it. Is there an app for that? :-)
  • Nice app with a few bugs

I own two skylight calendars, one at my primary residence and the second at my summer place. I have them linked. I could have just relied on the app for the summer place but I honestly am more accountable to the device itself. Plus, the app is buggy. It’s not optimized for the iPad so up until the latest update there were no radio buttons to mark tasks complete. I was happy to see that bug fixed! Still seeing tasks which were completed in the past when the task was originally created as an “any day” task (no date). This is annoying but the workaround is to set the date to the date completed. The app could be a selling point for people who want to put a tablet “upstairs” for the kiddos…but they need to commit to optimizing the app for the iPad, not just the phone. Five year olds have tablets, they don’t generally have phones. Me…the only child using our calendar is the husband. He prefers the app over the device. I LOVE going shopping and being able to see everything on my shopping lists! This is where the app shows its power. The app allows categories in the lists, something lacking on the device. Give a little…get a little. Overall I love this app and the Skylight Calendar. So glad I told my DIL, “I wish someone made …” and she said, “Skylight!”

This thing is phenomenal. I got it for the Wife and I and we love it. The only thing I wish it was different is it could have more distinct ways of differentiating profiles. You have enough on our calendar where we have to use multiple of the same colors, which makes it all white. So that gets confusing. Other than that, it is phenomenal.
