  • Please relax on the pop-ups

Guys, you have to relax on the popups. They are incessant. Let your users use your wonderful app without having to exit out of a redundant popup literally every time they open it.

Figure out your own stuff! It’s way more fulfilling than plugging in your location into an app. Go outside and look at streams and rivers. Turn over rocks and look at aquatic bug life. Look at what’s hatching Be present and turn off your devices. This is what fishing is all about!

I have subscribed to this app for the last couple of years. I was planning on trying to plan my fishing trip a couple of months ago. When I opened the app I had the basic plan. I have been paying for the pro plan on an annual basis (WTH?). I tried to repurchase the pro plan and paid $20 for Minnesota but I still get the basic plan. This was a good app when I first started using it 3-4 years ago. Very disappointing

Me and a friend went to a creek for trout & before we even made it to the creek this old man came out running and hollering we dipped to the car and he shot at us with a 12 gauge shotgun twice SCREAMING “this is private property” literally when the app had multiple pictures and videos of people fishing there……this is highly dangerous and I’m sure there’s a few people that didn’t even make it to leave a review!

Every single item to use other than maps is pro what's the point of getting a trout map if you have to pay monthly for it and there simpler options where you don't need a pro for every single needed option.

Save your money. Everything locked behind a paywall now but the price is not worth it. Used to give you some information for free. Support your local fishing stores and clubs. Get your information there. These people don't care about anything but your money.

Where is all the info they promise? I did the trial for the pro version and there isn’t anything useful in it. I was looking for info on the most popular streams and rivers in souther New England and the Catskills and there is nothing here that you can’t find with a quick google search. Additionally, the info that is in the app is not correct nor is it specific to the portion of the water you select on the map. The parking and access info is totally wrong. Just useless. I was not surprised by this when it came to the Farmington River and the Deerfield, but the Willowemoc and Beaverkill?!?! These are some of the most popular waters in the birthplace of American fly fishing!!!
  • Less than hoped for

I’m hoping this improves. I paid for the Pro version and was very, very disappointed. There is almost no information for Maine. Even in nearby NH the info was lacking. Seems very uneven nationwide. Plus, for the price they are charging there should be an easy interface with Google Chrome for more in depth information; weather reports; easements should have actual boundary lines; trails should be integrated; ponds and lakes should have depth lines and should have ‘local information’ like Gold rivers do; noted lodges, camps, wilderness camping area thru to private campgrounds should be marked. The OnWater Fish app could teach OnX a thing or two. As this app stands, I’d be just as well off with my DeLorme map.
