I had 2 years of Spanish class in high school, 2 semesters of Spanish in college, and WWOOFed in Costa Rica 10 years ago for a summer. I’ve tried duo since then, but pimsleur is the best at resuming the journey of learning a language (Spanish, for me)

I’m not new to language learning and have earn excellent marks in all academic settings. However, despite the 7 years of study from middle school through college, I was not conversational. As one could imagine, I’ve made many attempts at reaching the true goal of being able to communicate in Spanish. However, my repeated attempts have left me fruitless. I also have tried Pimsluer before, but did not get far into the program for one reason and many others. This time, however, after our recent trip to Madrid and chatting with all of our multilingual drivers, I decided to push through my shallow attempts and persevere this time around. When asked how they reached fluency as they had, they gave the names of inferior apps that had gotten them to that level. The key was that they’d finished the programs. I discussed Pimsluer with them and they weren’t familiar, but vowed to have a look because of the quality I presented in comparison to the other apps. They also did give the key tip of actually using the language with every opportunity presented by their passengers. (I’m also taking this tip to heart!) Here’s to my success this time around…I can see conversational ahead, with Pimsluer being a key component. Try the app and you’ll see what I mean by Pimsluer being in a class all its own. Best of Success and Satisfaction to you in your language learning journey!

Over a decade ago I was working in India 1 or 2 weeks a month and used their CDs to learn enough Hindi to be social. Now, I am data tracking Spanish. Pimsleur is much better than those other apps because it is immersive.
