  • Can’t share tasks on calendar

Disappointing. You can sync task across your devices on calendar, but shared users of the same calendar cannot see those shared tasks. Huge gap - from the provider of both tools: Google. WTH.

I chose this app over other todo/task apps because it has 2 key features. First, it syncs across multiple devices regardless of OS, letting me add/complete tasks whenever and wherever is convenient for me. This also helps me coordinate with my wife when we work on projects together. Second, it allows nested tasks. It only allows nesting one layer deep. Two layers deep would be helpful at times, but one layer is generally enough. As a bonus, it's also free. The only thing it doesn't do is let me change the order of my lists. That would be extremely helpful so I could float or pin my most used lists to the top and make them more accessible. Overall, great productivity app. Very useful.

It’s just after 2:10 PM on a Sunday. Our recurring task that is supposed to go off every Friday at 2:10 PM just went off. Long tap if it happens to you too. Extremely frequent app releases with the same stock description of what’s in the new releases is unhelpful.

I tried two competing programs before this one, and neither could successfully do recurring tasks the way I needed them to. This program accomplishes this mostly without incident; occasionally a task appears in Google calendar twice for the same day. The solution is to open the task, change to a different day then back again, save changes, and presto issue is solved. I hope they fix that glitch soon. I would appreciate the ability to select different colors for different groups of tasks to make it easier to differentiate them in Google calendar; right now I need to identify the group in the task description which feels like a chore, but it’s workable. Performing complicated recurrence patterns requires jumping through some hoops but it is possible. I appreciate that all tasks can have a start and end date. The tasks app attempts to show which tasks are for today, which honestly it shouldn’t even bother to do, as it doesn’t successfully convey that you have only completed one instance of a recurring task. Really this app and Google calendar should come bundled together into one product. I’m sure Google realizes this too. Hopefully they will combine them in the future.

It’s simple, and it works. There are no problems I’ve experience using this app and no complaints about.
  • Needs reminder capability

I would give this five stars, but the iPad app recently started to crash even when fully updated/reinstalled, etc.,. iPhone version is fantastic, updates real time.
  • It needs to act like the third-party apps

It needs a calendar repeating feature.
  • Good, not improving

Like a lot of Google apps, Tasks works well, but there’s no sense that the Google team is trying to add / roll out new features.

I love that it is simple without having to program things and has a note you can add to the task BUT i cant share this with my assistant so its useless.
