    New update made grading sluggish. No longer can click “grade” to open grade tray. Grading options should be open automatically.

    It takes forever to load students work in speed grader and sometimes it just gives up by saying timeout. Please fix this!

    6/24/2025 I don’t see the problem I wrote about below anymore. Now the app is a resource/memory hog. I’m on an iPad Pro 2018. The app freezes and becomes unresponsive. 6/13/2025 Recent update has a great feature in that it now shows the assignment name when you open it to grade ungraded assignments. Thank you! But there’s something bad in this update, too. Recently submitted assignments don’t show up in the “To-Do” tab. I know they are there because I have notifications set for email. I have to go into the course and then open that assignment. Then go into “Needs Grading” to see these new assignments. I don’t know how long it takes for them to propagate over to the “To-Do” tab. This has the potential to be a nasty bug. Unknown and ungraded assignments? Not good!

    Slow to populate assignments in speed grader, and as of the last update most assignments don’t even show up - app is basically broken/unusable.

    I can’t actually edit my classes in the app. It’s like a viewing feature more than anything. Pretty disappointed.

    I use this on the go when I something simple done. So it works great. I use canvas mostly on desktop. One small nitpick is the notifications badges. Even when it turned off, I see a badge. Sometimes it just on the folder the app is in the app tray.

    With the most recent update, I am not able to see or grade any videos, or “media recordings” on the app. I’ve tried on three different devices to no avail. I guess it’s back to the PC until they fix this issue.

  • The App is Impossible to Use

    I can’t even do simple tasks such as entering grades or creating assignments. What’s the point of having an app if it doesn’t let me do basic functions of a professor.
