    I tried time and time again to cancel my subscription. Despite this, I was charged for the 3-month subscription. I want my $75 back cause I know that it says don’t be late to unsubscribe, but i wasnt and still was charged. Backstage give me my money back

    Very poor customer service. There is no phone number to contact if something goes wrong, and email support is extremely slow. They usually reply after one or two days, and then completely stop responding. This is very unprofessional. My account stopped working, and I contacted support over a week ago with no resolution and no proper assistance at all. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this app due to the lack of reliable customer support.

    18 dollars a month…actors are already poor and charging us 18 dollars a month is insane, I could see a 5 dollar sub HELL. A 10 dollar sub BUT 18 DOLLARS to maybe get casted for something is terrible

    Unable to save changes on profile the first try, you must restart again and again and again. Botches photos and adds a glitchy grain. Filtered results are not filtered correctly.

    As someone just starting out in the industry, I find Backstage a little tricky to work with. I live near a major city, but no matter what I put in the filters, I often see casting calls for jobs across the country or internationally. Even after marking listings I’m not interested in, they keep showing up. You really have to dig to find anything local. While Backstage is great for sometimes discovering student films and smaller projects, I honestly wouldn’t suggest it for someone just starting out as it can be overwhelming, expensive and difficult to navigate. I’d recommend signing up with colleges that do student films and keeping up with their Instagram pages instead it’s often easier to find relevant local opportunities that way. I’m updating my review because the response I received from Backstage unfortunately doesn’t reflect the actual problem. The location filter hasn’t worked properly for years, and customer support does not respond when you reach out directly…they only seem to reply to public reviews, where you can’t reply back. It’s frustrating to pay for a service where one of the main features (filtering jobs in your area) doesn’t function and longtime reviews show this has been an ongoing issue and not a “bug/glitch” I really hope Backstage addresses this instead of redirecting people to customer service that never replies.

    This app advertises itself as a spot for voice over gigs- to be honest there are very few available at any given time. Not a place to snag voice over jobs, it’s live action performance focused. There are much better places to go for voice acting.
