  • Highs and lows of FT

FT has great quality contributors and , generally, well curated reports. It’s also, generally, up to date on what’s happening. BUT, it’s biased, strongly, towards a ( aged) “ western liberal democracy “ which is clearly in decline, and is morally bankrupt ( the near silence on Gaza and the vilification of Xi speaks loudly about that). FT is also relatively ignorant on how ahead of the west China is, on the roots of the Ukrainian conflict and on the emerging Eurasian world order. Good contributions on rectifying these would help. Finally: a particularly irritating feature is “ premium” content. The price tag of a subscription for FT is already high enough for this cheap trick. Please drop it. I’m a university professor in Brazil who can barely keep with the regular, what to say about premium. Good customers vs. a bit more profits is a trade off to think about.

This was a very reputable news source but has lost its way, just like many western media propaganda outlets. REAL journalism is gone!!
  • Always broken

This app is always broken. The widget breaks in a new way almost every time they release an update. Even for just reading articles, this app is not good; there's been a bug for ages where you can't select text at the beginning of an article without the app deciding to switch to another article, and nothing has ever been done about it. They've also had a dark mode for years but have never allowed you to have dark mode automatically turn on, you have to do it yourself, it's so annoying. Feels like an app from 10 years ago, and competitor apps like the NYT and WSJ are much better.

Sadly, the FT is becoming a place riddled with bots, PR material, biased reporting and low quality editorial content. It no longer provides global business news.
  • Great paper

Still wish they would bring back the ability to switch to daily version in the app
  • Indispensable

This is my go to resource for all financial news. The writing is concise but fluid, and the insights are always relevant no matter what subject I am researching.
  • Definitive Source

The FT is the premier financial and economic daily reporting service in the world. A “must have” newspaper for those in business, public policy, and academia.
  • The best daily

After I started reading it since the beginning of the year can’t do without it.
  • Was a great paper for many years but now is biased towards the left.

Considered one of the world‘s great papers for years, sadly, this paper has fallen on hard times. Consistently anti-Trump and pro left-wing in their articles. They’re not at the level of the New York Times certainly but they’re sliding towards an advocacy newspaper approach..
  • FT better than other news sources.

FT has longer deeper time-horizon worldwide finance/economics than NYT/WSJ, like how Eric Topol replaces NYT on medical research, and LLMs and Wikipedia replace GoogleAdSearch and daily news sources on nearly everything else
