    Update made ads twice as long and now require multiple button presses to get through. Again, how is this safe for people driving??? You say you update and fix but every update makes this app function worse.

  • Podcast App no longer works when VPN app is active

    Very disappointing that this no longer works when running a VPN app. I’ve used this app for many years but given security concerns and privacy it’s not worth having to disable the VPN in order to use this application. I will use other podcast apps that allow a VPN being used.

    After getting tired of the Apple podcast app, deleting my playlist repeatedly, and having to reconstruct them, I wanted to find just a simple app that would just keep my playlist and play my podcast this app was that app! Very simple; very sturdy. The one thing that’s driving me nuts right now, however, is that when I open it up, it usually just hangs forever. I have to close it and reopen it five or six times to get it to actually work. I have since discovered that if I close every other app, it opens like it should. Obviously it is conflicting with some other app that I have open. So that’s frustrating.

    Update: I don’t know what your latest update was about but now there are annoying popup ads. When driving it was easy to just do a quick tap to open or change a podcast. Now you have to tap the X to close the ad or tap the ‘skip this video’ in order to move on. That said what I said below a few years ago and gave 5 stars still stands. Disappointed though that having to reload your podcasts on updates or glitches still happens: IMO this podcast app is more user friendly than Apple’s. The only drawback is when there is a iPhone systems update, it deletes apps on this platform unless I’ve also download the podcast on the Apple app. Then I can transfer the podcasts over. However if I forget to do that, I have to download the podcast(s) again but now it no longer shows what episodes I’ve already listened to but as a new podcast. Very frustrating.

    It’s a good app lots of good choices. It has started turning off after about 5 minutes of listening AGAIN. I deleted the app a couple of times and reinstalled it in the past and now it’s doing it again. Not going to do that again. I’ll just find another app.
