  • Fun but needs technical improvements

    I love word games and this version of Boggle is fun. But I depend on the sounds and too often the sounds randomly stop working. I have to either turn my phone completely off or delete the app to restore the sounds. It is very frustrating and the app help is zero help.

    The game is fun but constantly crashes after ads, loses sound and delays while playing. Game would have loads more players if they could actually get it to work more smoothly.

    The daily challenges are anything but. Make it an actual challenge to solve with actual legit rewards instead of stupid tickets. Two minutes to get 300 points with all bonus tiles? Please. Either make the challenges harder and/or ban the use of power ups for challenges. And, as everyone else has noted, the game is incredibly buggy and slow to load anything.

    I’d like to preface this by saying I have enjoyed Boggle w Friends. It’s well made. That said, Zynga has done what they always do, which is take a real world game and make it accessible via iPhone. Great, and it opens up opportunities to play online… unfortunately, also true to form, the developers have flushed the game with “extras”. Powerups, special tiles, and flurries of advertising have effectively dismembered any semblance of the true boggle experience. I’m not saying get rid of all of that, I’m sure it’s an excellent source of revenue for Zynga. But, there ought to be a “Classic Boggle” option— no powerups, no time freezes, or bonus points. Just ordinary Boggle. Why tamper with perfection?

    An ad plays after each round and most of them make the sound stop working. I have to close and reload the game to get the sound back. It’s quite annoying.

    Game used to be fun but now ads cover the timed tournament leading to much frustration. If it doesn’t stop I will delete.

    Boggle is my go to game. Been playing for over a decade. With the recent update, the game lags horribly. Click to start a game, wait 20 seconds. Click to close an ad, wait 20 seconds. The game will pause for 5 seconds during a round. Please fix this. Also, I don’t mind ads. I understand their purpose. But can you get rid of the ads that need to be “closed” 3x before actually closing?
