  • Crashing and annoying reinstall

    I used to really enjoy this app. Recently it started to crash while I was using it. I have to close the app and reopen it. I’d get one or two clues completed and it would crash again. Decided to reinstall the app and now I’m having to claim all of my prize puzzle badges again. I can’t play a puzzle until I claim them all. What a joke.

  • Going downhill

    Getting as bad as WWF2. Now the keyboard betrays me! Deliberately puts the letter next to the one I’m pressing, just to slow me down. Not sure why. Maybe if I can’t earn three stars I’ll buy something? Lame. [Previously] Game awarded me 50 points for an achievement but then stole 40 of them back by turning on See Wrong halfway through a game. Guess I’ll play until I run out, and then delete

    I really enjoy doing a daily crossword puzzle with my coffee every morning. This app used to be perfect for that. I didn’t even mind when they first started making me watch ads before the puzzle started. But recently, the Ads are glitching and not closing. They freeze the app and you have to restart it. And now they’ve even begun popping up during the puzzles- which are timed! It may be time for me to delete this app, and if you’re looking to download a good crossword app, you may want to keep looking for an alternative to this one.

    It keeps me keen on thinking and knowledge of words and spelling. My husband and I never miss a night of working the daily puzzle.

    Just today November 30, 2023. We started getting a pop-up ad in the upper left corner of the puzzle where you couldn’t see the puzzle. It’s impossible to get rid of it. I hope you can look into this and fix the problem. Update: 2/5/2024. Ads still block the upper left corner of the puzzle. Lowering my rating to 2 stars. UPDATE: 3/26/2024 Ads now block puzzle continuously making it impossible to play. After years of doing these puzzles, we are giving up goodbye.

  • Clue issue

    One of the clues in tomorrow’s puzzle (TV Tuesday, 3/26/24) is incorrect and this clue has been in several other puzzles as well. The clue reads “went from brunette to blonde, for example” and the current word is “DYED” but going from brunette to blonde is actually “bleached” A simple fix is to change the clue to “went from blonde to brunette, for example.” That would be an actual example of “dyed.” It’s probably silly to some but I’d think the author would want to be accurate. Really love this app btw!!

  • Why so many ads?

    Edit to ad: I’ve been playing this game for several years. I once had two straight years of solving the puzzle of the day. But the ads are getting ridiculous. I understand the need for a revenue stream and I don’t mind paying to play. But this is excessive. I purchased the ad free version but it turned out to be $8.99 per MONTH! Maybe worth it per year, but come on. Now it takes forever to load even with high speed internet, I guess it’s the ads or they are mining my account! Fun puzzle. Too much emphasis on celebrities, rap and modern news but enough “old” to keep interested. Not sure why we had to update to the “with friends” version but it’s still fun.

  • Recent problems - is it time to end?

    Love this game- been playing it for many years - extra ads not a great thing - but it is what it is. Big Problem though is in mid March 2024 - game will not fully open - same thing for 3 days - with today being the same issue - it opens partially but then frozen - Will not advance or go back in any way—does nobody monitor this game? Am i the only one? Other games i play open & operate as normal-( i will delete it i suppose- its useless as is). Sad outcome imo.

  • Too many Ads …and the freeze the game

    I enjoy playing this game HOWEVER will probably abandon it due to the following: Too many ads are on this app. Lately, the ads freeze the screen and there is no way to get past it. Even the ad of the advertised game won’t allow you to open it ( when attempted as a last result). You have to do a hard shut down and reopen. This is a poor design.
