The ease of set up, the updates; the accessories makes the newborn stage especially so much more peaceful. I love having it and would recommend to everyone

This camera is great! The best part is the sleep analytics so you can see how your baby’s night went. It is really insightful and the app will even give suggestions to help with sleep
  • Ok for video purposes, the rest is poor to bad quality

The video feed is the best part. It works in brightness or darkness and you can see decently clearly. Cons: -The temperature is typically wrong. It displays a temperature thats actually 4-7 degrees lower than what the Nanit app says -Humidity is typically wrong as well. -To have saved video recordings you have to pay for a subscription. However even after paying, the video is only saved for 48 hours. -When watching video history, endless bugs. For example, the time will show it’s progressing from 9:51-10:21, but in those 30 minutes it has actually looped the same 1 minute 12 seconds of video. Once you move the time slider it will correct itself, but the bug keeps happening every 1-2 minutes. Why the hell are they making you pay a subscription for half assed recording capabilities? If it doesn’t even work properly it should be free.
  • Good camera. Horrible app.

With the app installed on iPhone or iPad, any audio the camera picks up is played through the speakers of your device even though the app isn’t running or open, no matter how many times you kill the app and ensure it isn’t running. The only solution is to disable the mic, which makes the camera sort of useless in that regard. Additionally, even though I have mirror iPhone notifications turned off for my Apple Watch, the app still insists mirroring the notifications to my watch. Which is really annoying when the only “motion” it’s detecting is a change from dark to light or vice versa in the room. Very disappointing app. Considering returning the camera as a result, because it makes it somewhat useless when the app is unusable.

The camera itself is great but you would think the app would work but every time these ppl do some sort of update the app just goes wacky. Frequent disconnects, doesn’t do what it says; granted you are paying for this service., The camera freezes. It gets better if you try to get anyone they always come back with the “it’s your WiFi” , check your network. Their customer service is non existent. I will not be renewing my subscription this year. I’m getting a different camera.

Never thought I was going to love this as much I still do for my then 8 month old - now a 2/5 years old. Too much to say but the memories and the notifications live - cough, cry - you name it. I love Nanit.
  • iPad app doesn’t have vital features!

Really, the app is very good. Not perfect or excellent but definitely very good. Sometimes a bit laggy (understandably at times due to home WiFi - Verizon Fios sometimes has hiccups in my house despite additional routers), but the real issue is that on the iPad, I cannot access Cares (“Activities”) so I cannot enter any nap, feed, or diaper changes from app I’m forced to use my phone. Which is ok, most of the time I’m on it on my phone, but when with company or in any other instance, I have the video feed but cannot enter any Activities which is a huge nuisance: you’d think for $300 (camera price) you could do the same on the tablet that you can on a phone app. @Nanit: you guys need to update the iPad version bc many of your competitors don’t have this issue!!
