    I have not been able to post a comment for months. Multiple contacts and complaints have yielded zero responses and zero resolution. The system just says “something has gone wrong.” EVERY TIME.

    Abandoned NY hockey coverage for the most part. Any reports are from part time hockey writers. Very disappointing.

    Hello, content is phenomenal. But for the past week at least I have not been able to add comments to articles that have a comment section. I obviously haven’t been banned, but I’ve tried updating the app, updating my phone, reinstalling the app, clearing my Cash, logging out… Nothing seems to work. The community is one of the best parts of The Athletic, and it’s very disappointing that I’m not able to participate when I’ve done nothing wrong.

    This site used to have the in-depth articles that made it unique and elite. A few of the great writers remain, but much of the content is becoming vacuous, politically tinged and unremarkable.

  • Twitter Article to App Failure

    *Update* it gets even worse. I was browsing in the app and clicked on a link for "today's news" which went to a site within the app that showed the list of articles. When I clicked on the article to read, instead of going back to the app with the article, it prompted me to login and use a web browser reader instead. Initially saw the article on Twitter, but the seamless interaction still doesn't exist there either. When I see an article on Twitter that is interesting, I click the link, and it opens in the Twitter app reader. I hit the limit and it asks for my subscription info - instead, I select to open in the app. However, the link directs to the App Store (on IOS) and does not go to the installed and up-to-date app on my phone. When I open the app from the App Store, it goes to the homepage rather than the article. Worse still, I have trouble finding the article in the app. It used to work where I could link straight to the article in the app from Twitter, but now it’s no good. Please fix this.

    Started out great with great writers (Max Bultman). A few left but they did layoffs to replace with AI labor. Its getting more and more egregious and they are more heavily pushing gambling articles (even marketed towards kids). Disgusting, unsubscribing once i figure out how to.

    Full of paywalls, Zionism, and corporate bootlicking, and the Playoff Simulator is extremely difficult to find and doesn’t even work anymore (404 Error). No competence, intelligence, transparency, or tact left to be found in The Athletic or NYT.

  • Recent update ruined Text to Speech feature…

    My favorite part of The Athletic app is using the text to speech feature to listen to articles while I workout or driving in the car, similar to a podcast. However something has changed in the last few weeks where the new voice that reads the article sounds absolutely atrocious and is practically unintelligible. I believe the change from the previous voiceover (which was perfect), happened with a recent app update. PLEASE FIX THIS IN A NEW UPDATE! 🙏😭
