  • THIS APP IS LITERAL MAGIC

Brain FM has changed the way I go about school as a student with ADHD and ASD. When I put on Brain FM, within 5 minutes my mind goes quiet and only focuses on work. Assignments take hours instead of days. If this did not exist, I would not be where I am right now.
  • Ads prefered

I get that you dont want to add ads. But a three day trial, for something so useful for me and for a lot of people. If there was ads, even ones you make that keep the relaxing vibe, there would be a lot more people using this app. If there were ads as an option of not paying, I would still use this app. And I’m bot saying it is, but it might not just be wanting this.

There are days I use this app all day, from morning motivation, instant stress/tension relief, reading focus, and sleep. Planning to try out the guided meditations. Highly recommend this app.
  • This really works!

I was very skeptical at first, but I have ADHD and the motivation playlist really gets me up and doing chores (and sometimes just dancing and grooving). The relax playlists are also nice when I want to just sit down and read a book or when getting ready for bed! Highly recommend!!

  • We need the Apple Watch app

I have ADHD, so this app is a life saver. I really really like this app. Nevertheless, I’m trying to almost not use my phone during weekdays, and the only thing that I haven’t been able to effectively replace is this app. Indeed, the only reason why I sometimes start using other apps and sort of stop using this one is because I get used to their Apple Watch apps. So, amazing app, but it would be the absolute best with an Apple Watch app.

It really makes a difference for me to balance my crazy. I really can focus and concentrate better. I wish though they’d come up with an AI mode that would automatically harmonize isochrinic tones w my choice of music. But I totally love it as is as well.

I’m a pre grad school student and live in a chaotic noisy home. Studying is difficult to do, there are frequent distractions. With all that in mind I knew I had to do something, and lo and behold I stumbled upon this app. It had a free trial so I figured I’d give it a try. And it genuinely works. I’ve been using it now consistently for months and my studying is so much more focused now. I wish I discovered this years ago!!!
  • Consistent playback issues, but still love it

I consistently get offline messages flashing when starting a focus session. Usually tapping play again works. Sometimes I needed to force quit the app. Regardless of my network environment. This has been ongoing for years. BUT, I still use this app all the time, and I consider it one of life’s secret weapons :)
  • Theres A Critical Flaw

Personally, I find it remarkably short-sighted on the part of the marketing and development teams to take such a low-resolution risk. I always appreciate a preliminary trial period—it’s a necessary means of developing initial rapport with an app. However, the experience within that trial is everything. While the content itself is lovely and the interface reasonably well-organized, the experience is undermined by what feels like an overly aggressive sales tactic. Each time the app is reopened, users are met with a full-page subscription prompt—effectively shouting “BUY, BUY, BUY” in their faces. It’s not only excessive; it’s uncomfortable. Literally every time you close or switch between apps, you’re forced to navigate through this. I have no objection to a business earning revenue, but how you go about it reveals what truly motivates you. If user experience is so readily disrupted by profit-driven interruptions, then user wellbeing clearly isn’t the priority. The focus, quite plainly, is on maximizing subscriptions. If that weren’t the case, this constant paywall push wouldn’t exist—or at least would be more thoughtfully implemented. And that isn’t actually the issue; profit is critical, obviously. But this is a poor strategy, considering how simple of a mistake it is. I promise—regardless of what statistics you’re using—this is a low-resolution mistake aimed at short-term gain, not long-term success. And that leads me to the core concern: if I can’t trust the intent behind your methods, how can I trust the integrity of your content? I’ve enjoyed the music, and I think there’s real potential within the model itself—the app has even complemented my workflow—but it’s difficult to fully invest in something that treats trust as secondary to conversion rates, and does so so casually and carelessly. You could have at least hidden the intent to some degree—or at all. You could do better—and frankly, you should want to.
