The wild spawns have been drastically decreased in my area with the latest update. Hardly even playable now

There are less spawns than normal. I use to see lot of pokemon showing up at the park I go to, but there are lot less.
  • Rural players beware

Recent algorithmic changes to the app have killed Pokemon spawn rates for players, mostly those in rural areas with lower activity. The game playing experience where spawn rates have been killed is terrible and effects player game progression and chances for catching rare and event Pokemon.

Changed the game such that pokemon rarely spawn in the wild anymore…

After the latest update, spawns have significantly decreased. For a collection game, this makes no sense. Change and do better. Will update this rating if this is changed.
  • Zero Spawns After Update

I used to get 5-10 spawns every fifteen minutes, now I get zero. I live in a rural neighborhood with not much around it, so I would play from home the little amount I count. Now I can’t do any of that. Thanks, Niantic! 👎🏼

I’ve been a player since day 1. The game has had its ups and downs but overall great. Recently, they changed the spawn points of Pokémon and now there is 1 spawn point in my neighborhood. Even if I go for a walk, 1 Pokémon. What’s the point now?

No good Pokémon spawn. I’ve never seen a legendary spawn. Legendary Pokémon are only available through raids and they’ve been undesirable
  • Wtf is the go pass

Never buy the pass, I did out of curiosity and you can only collect 3-4 rewards a day instead of being able to complete the pass at your own rate. Go pass is genuinely worse than Fortnite battle pass. Pokemon go has become worse than Fortnite. The catching change has been the most annoying thing I’ve ever seen. Every single baby pokemon is red to catch and breaks out of 5-6 ultra balls at a time with berries. It’s so sad that after a decade niantic destroyed their own game so badly
  • I want to love this game.

I was in middle school during the first craze for this game and si the nostalgia brought me back for a few months. “now that they’ve added the things the game was supposed to come with back in 2017 maybe it’ll be fun” I thought, and it was… if you spend exorbitant amounts of money. If you play this game every day and buy every little thing it is fun. But that gets expensive… like really expensive, then after you spend all that money you have to take a break for a few days to come back to the rewards from multiple things that you had to purchased with REAL MONEY to earn in game are gone. No way to claim them the next time you log in or any way of reimbursing you for the money that you spent. The game is a blatant cash grab and I wish it wasn’t. The idea of catching Pokémon in real life is beautiful but the greed of the people controlling this app have ruined that idea with greed.
