Devs took FOREVER to address my many tickets/requests. At their behest, I sent codes, screenshots, etc. No helpful responses. Just keep asking for the same info ad nauseam. After waiting for non-existent dev help, and tweaking every setting the worthless ai told me to try, Parallels still won’t install WINDOWS on my Mac. So glad I didn’t waste my $$$ money on this software. Anyway — I got sick of waiting and bought a PC. Problem solved.

Parallels Desktop was my 3rd attempt at a VM to get SolidWorks to run on my Mac. WMWare couldn’t handle the screen sizing or resolution well. Parallels sized the Window perfectly to my second monitor (larger) and the resolution is fantastic. Downloaded from Apple’s App Store with very easy installation. Well worth the small price I paid — great product!!

I’ve been using parallels for years now. I never come across a better virtual machine software, better than parallels for the Mac. It is a lifesaver. when it comes to running Windows applications and other OS like Linux. Based environments, I know there are other ones out there like UTM or virtualOS that are a lot cheaper, but parallels continuously every year, seems to get updates as well, as support though the years, of me using it. I've not so far seen an application like this. it is my favorite to go too for running virtual machines. There is just so much accessibility and usability in this program. parallels continues to surprise me every year with their updates. and upgrades each year, when they add new features and refine their software. I've been a user of parallels desktop before they even had an app on the App Store. When it was just a downloadable site application around 11 years ago. Highly recommend it to anyone trying to run other operating systems. On a apple silicon Based machine. its an amazing app, would definitely recommend, 10 out of 10 app, five stars from me.

It works for the most part. I do have issues here and there. I have run both Linux and Windows machines on apple hardware. It is really the only option that I know of for doing this. Pros - easy to use, reliability is high Cons - subscription only model, have to reactivate the license periodically for no apparent reason, fewer settings options than other hypervisors
  • Love it!

Running a Windows 11 VM on my MacBook with Parallels has completely transformed my work experience! It’s fast, seamless, and lets me switch between macOS and Windows apps with zero hassle. Whether I’m in Microsoft Office, Teams, or using specialized Windows tools, everything just works. Highly recommend for anyone who needs the best of both worlds while working from anywhere!
  • Scammy after the first year

This was a great application for exactly one year. Once I renewed they took my $100 no problem, and then threw up a paywall stating I needed to renew, I spoke to their “support” team and stated I had paid for a new year, provided my receipt from Apple and they stated since I paid through Apple there was nothing they could do for me. If you cannot support a subscription through Apple, don’t offer a subscription model through Apple. Luckily Apple was able to provide me a full refund for the second year and I got my money back, but this feels insanely scammy. Great product, awful support and potentially scammy.

Thus far I have installed Parallels, implemented Windows 11, and migrated Quicken data from a Windows 10 laptop to the virtual Windows 11 desktop (an M4 iMac). Thus far no serious problems have been encountered.
  • The compatibility is very good
