  • Good, But Not Good Enough

    The app works great! Everything is relatively seamless and easy. The only gripe I have with this app it’s its UI. It is very clunky and kind of thrown together. If this app gets a facelift, it could really be a great app. The menus could use a nice animation to make them pop, since liquid glass exists now, the Monumental Sports logo is off center on the main screen, when signing in with a TV provider, the logo is huge in the top center. Just a few ideas on how to make the app better, great work guys!

    The only reason I have this app is because monumental sports removed itself from all other streaming devices. Love watching games where I hear what happens three or four seconds before I see it for example. "He shoots, he scores." before I even see the shot if that’s not annoying enough half the time the feed is so bad and grainy, it’s worse than standard definition.

    Guys, I’d like to be able to login and watch the game from the beginning without knowing the score when I open the app on Roku or my phone. This is basic. Get it together. What a train wreck this is turning into. Remains terrible. No adjustments. Updated 12/7/25.

    When I downloaded the app and subscribed to watch the Caps in September, I was not happy with this app at all. There were many issues and the app felt like a child made it. Over the last 3 months, they have made huge strides and the app is so much better! I submitted my own thoughts on changes that were needed and they responded immediately. All of the suggested changes were done in the app a couple weeks later.

    I can’t believe that my options to watch Capitals hockey is either pay an absurd amount of money on NHL network or navigate this steaming pile of excrement you call monumental sports network. The app sign in creates a loop of non working prompts. If you miss the start of the game you literally have to cover your eyes and rewind through the live game; this may cause your whole game to reset and you have to go through the process all over again. Stop being greedy trying to jump on the subscription train and team up with a platform that actually knows what they are doing. Give the fans what they deserve and stop worrying about lining your own pockets.

    Unbelievably bad and difficult to use. Casting is a constant connect and disconnect struggle. Log in takes 3-4 tries almost every time.

    Why is it SO bad? I have the app on my TV, and it forces me to sign in on my phone using my Verizon account. It never works, always gives an error. Then I try to verify through a link or code sent to my email and that sends me back to verifying on my phone. Endless cycle of pain and suffering.
