When I rotate the app horizontally, the overlay does not disappear when trying to watch the games. Restarting the app does not fix the issue. I’m unable to watch any streams properly in full screen on my phone.

This app constantly loses connection to AirPlay. You’re lucky if you get to watch a game for more than 2 minutes without it stopping. And at least once every 5 mins I receive a “long buffering” error and need to reboot the entire app. It’s been this way for a long time…not sure why they can’t figure out how to deliver a working app. Would give it 0 stars if that was an option.

Horrible app always signs you out mid game no consistency with video quality sometimes which doesn’t make sense with full bars and WiFi.

I use this app both on my Apple TVs and my Apple mobile devices. First and foremost: the app needs to allow users that subscribe to Monumental+ to start live games from the beginning while they are underway. Second: the Apple TV UI is incredibly glitchy and has been the entire time I’ve been a Monumental+ subscriber. I don’t need to see the Lumen splash animation every single time I use the app, especially when I’m context switching between Monumental+ and another content app on my Apple TV. Nearly every time I use the Monumental+ app, I’m trying to watch a live sporting event (usually a Caps game). I (and other family members) have a 50/50 chance of getting a live Caps game to be fullscreen on a TV the first time opening the app because of glitches in the UI. If there is also a wizards game on at the same time? Forget about it. You’re not gonna be able to watch either game on your Apple TV the first time around opening the app because overlays and borders will persist. There is overlay ghosting in the video feed on Apple TV which looks like intentional watermarking of the video. Whatever it is, it is incredibly annoying. Summary: the Apple TV app needs to be overhauled. And for the love of all things holy: DO NOT CLUTTER THE IN-GAME VIDEO FEED ON MOBILE WITH SPORTS BETTING OVERLAYS! I want to watch Caps games, not be bombarded with Bet365 ads Night at the Roxbury style. Sports betting is a scourge, and advertising related to all forms of sports gambling should be banned from broadcast media (“streaming” included). Since that regulation won’t happen any time soon, I’ll say this: I pay $180 a year to watch Caps games (because Monumental Sports Network is no longer on YouTubeTV), not to feel like I’m in the middle of a sports book at a casino. If $180 a year isn’t enough to make the Monumental+ service viable, raise the price and delete the cruft from the mobile video feed. All of the gambling nonsense is destroying the value of the Monumental+ service.

So many issues that eliminates joy of watching sports. Where to begin… issues with logging in, verification, connecting to AirPlay, having to continually update settings and maintaining a clear display, yet the commercials stream in perfect 4K. Please fix this app.

This app is so bad, logging in takes 20 minutes, connecting ur tv provider takes 20 minutes, good luck airplaying to devices without it buffering every 2 seconds, casting doesn’t work. there is nothing that works well about this app and i am forced to use it multiple times a week to watch the caps but it takes forever to login so i miss the first period. fix your authentication process, fix ur sign in links, fix everything.

One star, and that is me being generous because zero stars is not an option. The Monumental Sports Network app is less of a streaming service and more of a social experiment designed to test human patience. Using this app feels like trying to watch a live sporting event through a microwave while someone repeatedly unplugs the router for fun. The video quality randomly shifts between crystal clear and 2004 flip phone footage. Buffering is not an occasional inconvenience, it is the main feature. At times I forget there is even a game happening because I am too busy staring at a spinning wheel contemplating my life choices. The app crashes so often that I have started expecting it. Opening Monumental feels like loading a mystery box. Will it play the game. Will it freeze. Will it log me out for no reason and make me re enter my credentials like it has never met me before. The suspense is thrilling in the worst way. Navigation is a nightmare. Finding the game you want is like wandering through an abandoned mall with half the lights off and no signs. Buttons either do nothing or do something completely different than what you expect. Pausing the game is a gamble. Rewinding is an act of pure courage. Audio issues deserve their own award. Sometimes it is delayed. Sometimes it cuts out. Sometimes it sounds like the commentators are calling the game from inside a wind tunnel. Other times it works perfectly just long enough to give you hope before collapsing again. This app is especially impressive in its ability to fail during the most important moments. Game winning shots. Overtime. Final seconds. That is when Monumental decides it is time to buffer, crash, or send you back to the home screen like a cruel joke. I genuinely want to support my local teams, but this app makes it feel like a punishment. Monumental Sports Network should not be charging money for this experience. They should be issuing apologies and maybe coupons for emotional distress. In conclusion, this app does not just miss the mark. It sprints past it, trips, falls, and takes the entire viewing experience down with it. If frustration burned calories, I would be in elite athlete shape by now. Fix the app. Or rename it Monumental Disappointment Network
