  • Not good to use

If you want to journal privately. The one device limit for free use is unfair but I thought that the web version could work for when I don't want to journal on my phone but it's not private at all. It keeps you logged in and while you can log out its not convenient. You could have added a passcode to the web version but as it stands it's not a safe place for me. Not that you care just saying

If you’re also experiencing the issue where the launch page gets stuck on the last open day’s post and freezes—and force quitting the app or rebooting your iPhone doesn’t help—try this before reinstalling Day One: Go to your iPhone’s Settings > General > Date & Time, turn off Set Automatically, and manually change to a different time zone. Then reopen Day One. It worked for me. I believe the Day One team should look into this persistent bug—it seems to be related to time zone settings.

    * While I don't use it every day, Day One has been invaluable to me--particularly when I'm facing challenges with my mental health. During periods of intense depression or mental strain, the ability to write down my thoughts provides not only relief but also clarity. It helps me process what I'm going through and often allows me to rest more peacefully. Having a dedicated space specifically for these kinds of reflections is important. Although I have other applications that could technically serve a similar purpose, I appreciate that Day One is intentionally set aside just for my private thoughts--thoughts I don't necessarily want to share with others. It gives me a sense of ownership and confidentiality, making it a deeply personal and therapeutic tool.

I’ve been using Day One everyday for over twelve years. I love its feature set: the ability to create multiple journals, to tag and or link entries, to easily email what I have written, etc. I perhaps use it more than any other app on my iPad. Thanks for making a feature rich app that keeps getting better.

Honestly this app is such a good tool if you’re looking to do some introspection and reflection of your day, and you don’t have to pay for a subscription which is a mega plus. I appreciate that it i can set a reminder everyday to make sure i stay accountable with my journaling.
