  • Work well with one exception

I have 7 cameras and 2 doorbells at 2 locations. The cameras work well except for the one with the flood lights that NEVER worked right. Right now it doesn’t work at all.

    1) This last update 1/10/26 I’ve noticed the bottom slider in the playback mode doesn’t actually move the action. It jumps ahead but it used to forward the action. It no longer does that. 2) Also the thumbnails should be set at around the 4-5 second mark when the car actually comes into view. Not the first second when there nothing but a blank screen.

Loving the new update. The notification gives a preview of what’s happening so I don’t always have to pull up the app to know what’s going on. Instead of just “there’s a vehicle in the driveway” it will say “there’s a black vehicle reversing into the driveway.” I know who’s coming home without having to wait for the app to load which is super convenient.

The app is full of bugs, when I click on a video to view it, it changes from local storage to cloud storage and I have to change it back. Tech support is a joke, they want to blame it on my network. My network is not the problem.

What started as a good idea for security has proven not so good. Camera function is affected by cold temps and now they added AI which is a joke. However you “train” AI to recognize and identify people/animals/objects obviously needs more training. Adding another layer to an already compromised system is not an improvement. Why purchase or continue with a system that doesn’t do what they advertise. Don’t waste your money…..

Missed again! Does not display who is at the door quickly enough. They often walk away before I can view the video.
  • Blink system

I got my system about 3 years ago. The system does pretty good as for what it offers. Ability to see live feed is nice. I wish there were a call button for my daughter to be able to reach me thru the camera system. Also, The delay between recordings times is annoying. It’d be nice not to miss things between the 30 second intervals. Continuous motion should get continuous recording. And one of my cameras just quit responding for no apparent reason and blink won’t replace it. Frustrating. They say it needs an update. The other one exactly like it works fine. Bought at the same time. And current blink system owners should be able to trade in for an upgrade at a lower price. I’d get more cameras if I didn’t have to pay full price for a whole new system for it all to work.

The new descriptions in the alerts are awesome. If you could update them to identify people like “my husband” vs “the delivery guy” or “the mailman” that would be super helpful. Or even “the same guy that comes every day”.
